Entrepreneurs Foundation of the Northwest Presents Sabrix with Its 2006 Building the Future Award at the 'Light A Fire' Gala

Portland, Ore. — September 28, 2006

Sabrix has been selected to receive the Entrepreneurs Foundation of the Northwest Building the Future Award for successfully integrating philanthropy and community involvement into its core business values and practices.

Sabrix, a leading provider of enterprise tax software and world-class tax research, believes that it is its responsibility as a good corporate citizen to help strengthen the communities in which its employees live and work. Since donating a block of shares to EFNW in 2004, Sabrix has integrated community involvement (CI) into its core company values.

The company formed a community involvement (CI) team, developed a generous volunteer time off policy to allow employees to volunteer during company time, launched employee surveys to understand employee needs and interests in the community, and even matched employees' donations during the recent hurricanes. The committee promotes 2-3 "company-sponsored" volunteer projects each quarter, providing employees a wide range of opportunities to get involved. Both employees and the company have donated cash and in-kind contributions to a variety of community benefit organizations. These organizations include Schoolhouse Supplies, Oregon Food Bank, Saturday Academy, KABOOM, Transition Projects, Inc., HeadStart and Habitat for Humanity.

As a company Sabrix continues to look at ways to further complement and enhance their corporate culture through their corporate citizenship program.

The Entrepreneurs Foundation of the Northwest Building the Future Award is given annually to the member company that best represents the mission of EFNW: to engage entrepreneurial companies in corporate citizenship and philanthropic efforts so that new and leveraged resources are generated for community benefit.  Sabrix will be receiving their award at ‘LIGHT A FIRE', a celebration of Portland's most innovative and hard-working charity organizations and individuals. Presented once again by Portland Monthly and Oregon Community Foundation, the event will be held in the South Waterfront District on October 10, 2006 in the evening.
