2nd Annual Education Initiative

EFNW member companies Tripwire, Sabrix, Hepieric, Concero Technology, Barco and Fahey Ventures raised more than $10,000 to purchase backpacks and school supplies through Schoolhouse Supplies for over 1,000 students. Tripwire joined Pixelworks in sponsoring King Elementary in NE Portland, and all the companies worked together to sponsor Grout Elementary in SE Portland. In addition to raising the funds for the supplies, volunteers packed the backpacks at the Schoolhouse Supplies facility and distributed them to the children at the schools.

In many cases, if it weren’t for this initiative, many of these students wouldn’t have backpacks or supplies. The faces of the children as they received the backpacks showed joy and pride, and the staff of the schools reminded us how important it is for these young people to start the school year off feeling empowered and supported.

Thank you also to Tripwire, Sabrix, Payless Long Term Care Pharmacy, Eid Passport and Instantiations for hosting a school supply drive at your office. Combined, these member companies collected more than $1,500 in supplies for the free store for teachers at Schoolhouse Supplies.
