It's a Small World

Member company Hepieric experienced an especially wonderful coincidence as they were planning their Garage Sale fundraiser for the Education Initiative. CI Liaison Val Ebinger explains, “We had asked the owner of the building where our Vancouver office is located if we could hold the garage sale in the parking lot. When they declined, we decided to ask the nearby Safeway if we could do it there. It turns out that the manager of that Safeway is on the board of Schoolhouse Supplies! Not only did he welcome our sale, but he helped us to sell hotdogs and beverages to generate additional revenue.” Hepieric raised $1,163.77 through their garage sale, and Goodwill benefited from the unsold items. What a great success!
